I’m not a big fan of Worthing, which is why I didn’t take my camera – nothing interesting ever happens in Worthing, right?
Typically, the first thing I saw was a delegation from the Dark side accompanied by a female Obi-Wan. Luckily the camera on my Blackberry is passable.
I was going to crop this down to focus on the costumes, but then, looking at the wider picture, I saw that these figures would serve very nicely as a visual metaphor for the decimation of our town centres. Warwick Street should be the jewel in Worthing’s Crown, its one of the few parts of town that developers and planners haven’t completely ballsed-up, but – as you can see from the picture – there are more ‘To Let’ signs than thriving businesses.
